We lost her in the melee over New Caprica in Exodus pt2, but it seems we haven't seen the last our favourite Mercury class battlestar. Ronald D.Moore, in a recent interview by Salon magazine, commented on the premise of the forthcoming mini-series/extra/special/straight to dvd movie/tv show episodes of battlestar. With season four airing early 2008 (*grumble*) it has been decided that some new battlestar material has to appear to fill the void - the subject of said material will be the Pegasus.
So what could possibly be in store for us?
Where does one begin? Will we see the plight of Pegasus since the fall of the twelve colonies? Will the vague details of GINO's involvement at Scorpion fleet shipyard become known? The thrill of a blind jump? The raid on the cylon staging area. The echo of XO head succumbing to 9mm balls of lead (ok... the real gun is 5.7mm, but it's referred to on the show as 9mm). Stinger being out of hack. Families being put up against bulkheads. Civvy ships being stripped and left for dead. Meetings conducted standing up and Cain putting the 'best defence' proverb into practice!
Lets just hope they leave the Sun-shine boy's queuing practices out of this one...!
