Geekdom shining through - so here we go:
Season two of battlestar galactica introduced a previously unseen weapon into the Marine's arsenal - a sleek curvy rifle without any obvious magazine. Initial thoughts revolved around "Oh, another pretend gun for the writers to play with!", but the show had been slowly removing itself from the fake small arms that populated the mini-series and season one to slightly juiced up (and mostly European) modern day firearms like FN's Five-seveN and P-90. So a little bit of poking around yielded this puppy:
It has the right look, the right size and is curiously single-shot! Turns out the Galatica's marines new long sword is the Beretta Cx4 Storm - a semi-auto rifle that takes ole beretta 92F clips!
Just another piece of grey matter turned white...
