09/03/2006 :: Lay Down Your Burdens Part Two Rumour Mill
The Battlestar Galactica season two finale bears down on us and the rumour mills begin to churn and churn. Ron Moore has stated the episode 'lays in on the line' - even his wife was pissed with him when she watched it!!!!So what can we expect?
Drifting amid the usual hash, a few interesting nuggets have presented themselves. The almost facts:- We meet a new cylon model.
- A marriage will take place (probably Cally & Chief).
- Cylon peace plan is presented.
- The nuke is used...
The Wildcard
Gina's nuke. Presented to her by Baltar, the gang-raped six model Cylon still has in her possession a massive firework to play with. The majority have suggested the nuke will be used to remove the battlestar Pegasus from the scene. But if the podcasts can be believed we can dismiss this entirely (Lee will helm the beast into the third season). The clever money seems to have it directed at the tilium refinery - take it out and the fleet will eventually grind to a halt. This ties nicely with the Cylon offer of peace (with barbs) .
The risky money is placed at the nuke being used to take out 'the bucket' - that Galactica herself will be subject to the detonation
